Question 1:

a² - 16

a² - (4²)

Identity to use : a² - b² = (a+b)(a-b)

a² - 4²

(a-4)(a+4)

Question 2:

(b-c)²

Identity to use: (a-b)² = a² - 2ab + b²

b² - 2(b)(c) + c²

b² - 2bc + c²

Hope it helps
