Factorise: Writing a whole no. in the product of two different no. is known as factories.

Factor: A factor is a number which divides another number exactly, without leaving a remainder.

Solution

We have to do nothing, but write the given expression in the product of two or more factor.

  • We should simplify the expression.

  • Then write in an order of common one. I

  • Then take common.

  • We will get the answer.

a(a - 1) - b(b - 1) \\ \\ {a}^{2} - a - b {}^{2} + b \\ \\ a {}^{2} - b {}^{2} - a + b \\ \\ (a + b )(a -b) - ( a- b) \\ \\ (a - b )(a + b - 1)
