x^2 - 2x - 6

a = 1, b = -2 ,C = -6

D = b^2 - 4ac

D = (-2)^2 - 4 (1)(-6)

D = 4 +24 = 28

D > 0 it mean two real and distinct root

Alfa = -b + √D / 2a

Alfa = -(-2) + √28 / 2(1)

= 2 + √28 / 2

= 2+ 2√7 / 2

= 2(1 + √7)/ 2

x = 1 + √7

bita = -b -√D/ 2a

= -(-2) - √28 / 2(1)

= 2 - 2 √7 / 2

= 2 ( 1 - √7) / 2

x = 1 - √7
