Given Equation is 5a^2 - a - 30 = 0.

It cannot be factorized by splitting middle term.

It can be solved using Quadratic equations (or) completing square method.

(1)

 = > x = \frac{-b + \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}

 = > \frac{-(-1) + \sqrt{(-1)^2 + 4 * 5 * 30}}{\2(5)}}

 = > \frac{1 + \sqrt{{601}}}{10}

(ii)

 x = \frac{-b - \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}

 = > \frac{-(-1) - \sqrt{(-1)^2 - 4 * 5 * (-30)}}{2 * 5}

 = > \frac{1 - \sqrt{601}}{10}

Hope this helps!
