Answer:

x² + 5x + 6 = 0

on comparing with ax² + bx +c = 0

a = 1 , b = 5 , c = 6.

ac = 6 x 1 = 6

Now, according to rule

we split b such that the two terms in which it is splitted add to give b and when multiplied give ac.

for ex

in this case ac = 6

on taking factors of 6 we get 6 = 2×3

and on adding 2 and 3 we get 5.

now,

x² + 3x + 2x + 6

= x(x + 3) + 2 (x + 3)

taking x+3 common

=(x + 2) (x + 3)

hence,

on factorising

+ 5x + 6 = (x + 2)(x + 3)

ans is + 5x + 6 = (x + 2)(x + 3)

hope it helps
