Compare given eqn with standard form ax^2 + bx + c = 0

a = 1 , b = -10 , c = 25

:. b^2 - 4ac = (-10)^2 - 4(1)(25)

= 100 - 100

= 0

Now,

q = (-b) +- under root b^2 - 4ac / 2a

= -(-10) +- under root 0 / 2

= 10 +- 0 / 2

q = 10 + 0 / 2. OR. q = 10 - 0 / 2

q = 10/2. OR. q = 10/2

:. q = 5. OR. q = 5

5 and 5 are the solutions of the given eqn.
