Step-by-step explanation:

we have to factorise it be splitting into 2 terms

 {b}^{2}  - 6b - 7

we have to split 6b as its multiplication will be multiplication of 1st and 3rd number.

 {b}^{2}  - 7b + b - 7

now we have to write common factor of 1,3 and 2,4 respectively {larger number should be in 2nd place}

b(b + 1) - 7(b + 1)

now write the term and common factor as follows

(b - 7)(b + 1)

now doing the next question by same procedure

 {b}^{2}  + 5b + 6

 {b}^{2}  + 6b - b + 6

b(b  - 1) - 6(b - 1)

(b - 1)(b - 6)
