Let u=-2

So substitute the x with -2 in equation

3(-2)^3 - 4(-2)^2 -12(-2)+16=0

-24-16+24-16

0

Now we get that u=-2

So, u+2=0

So x+2 is a factor of this term

  1. Check by division

After division u will get quotient

Then simply factorize
