Given expression is 1 - n - 12n^2

It can also be written as -12n^2 - n - 1

To factorise a quadratic expression by the method of middle term split, we need to write the coefficient of n(middle term in this case) in the sum/difference of two integers such that their product is equal to the product of other two terms of the expression.

So, here we can factorise in such a way -

-12n^2 +3n - 4n +1

-12n^2 +3n - 4n +1 => 3n(-4n+1) +1(-4n+1)

-12n^2 +3n - 4n +1 => 3n(-4n+1) +1(-4n+1) => (1-4n)(3n+1)
