Given

x² - 4√3x + 9 = 0

Factories it

Solution

→ x² - 4√3x + 9 = 0

Solve this by splitting middle term

→ x² - 3√3x + √3x + 9 = 0

→ x(x - 3√3) + √3(x + 3√3) = 0

→ (x - 3√3)(x + √3) = 0

Either

(x - 3√3) = 0

→ x = 3√3

Or

→ (x + √3) = 0

→ x = -√3

Hence, 33 and -3 are the zeros of given equation

Some identities

  • (a + b)² = a² + b² + 2ab
  • (a - b)² = a² + b² - 2ab
  • a² - b² = (a + b)(a - b)
