Factorise the following expression:4a2-(4b2+4bc+c2)​

Answer :

=  4{a}^{2} - ( 4{b}^{2} + 4bc + {c}^{2})

  • Use identity ({a}^{2} + 2ab + {b}^{2} ) = ({a+b})^{2}

=  4{a}^{2} - ( 2{b+c})^{2})

  • Use identity {a}^{2} - {b}^{2} = ( a - b ) (a + b)

= 2a ( -2b + c )) ( 2a + (2b + c ))

= (2a - 2b - c ) ( 2a + 2b + c)

•°• The factors are (2a - 2b - c ) ( 2a + 2b + c) respectively !
