Answer:

1. x³+2x²+x+2

since it is a cubic polynomial therefore we made it by factor theorem

factor of 2 is +1,-1,+2,-2 etc

we put x= -2

p(x)= (-2)³+2*(-2)²+(-2)+2

p(x)= -8+2*4-2+2

p(x)= -8+8-2+2

p(x)= 0

hence, x+2 is the factor of given polynomial

2. y²+7y-18

since it is a quadratic polynomial therefore we made it by spiliting middle term

y²+7y-18

y²+9y-2y-18

y(y+9)-2(y+9)

(y+9)(y-2)
