SOLUTION

TO FACTORISE

 \sf{(x - 1) - 3 {(x - 1)}^{2}  + b - bx}

EVALUATION

Here the given expression is

 \sf{(x - 1) - 3 {(x - 1)}^{2}  + b - bx}

We factorise it as below

 \sf{(x - 1) - 3 {(x - 1)}^{2}  + b - bx}

 \sf{ = (x - 1) - 3 {(x - 1)}^{2}  + b (1- x)}

 \sf{ = (x - 1) - 3 {(x - 1)}^{2}   - b (x - 1)}

 \sf{ = (x - 1)[1 - 3(x - 1) - b] }

 \sf{ = (x - 1)[1 - 3x  + 3- b] }

 \sf{ = (x - 1)[ - 3x  + 2- b] }

 \sf{ = (1 - x )(3x   -  2 + b) }
