Factorise the following
x2+y-xy-x

given:-

x2+y-xy-x

grouping accordingly

(x2-x)-(xy+y)

x(x-1)-y(x-1)

Answer:-(x-y)(x-1)

 {x}^{2}    + y - xy - x
 {x}^{2}  - x - xy + y

x(x - 1) - y(x - 1)
(x - 1)(x - y)

therefore, x^2+y-xy-x=(x-y)(x-1)
