Factorise the polynomial x²-5x²-2x+24

Answer:

x²-5x²-2x+24=(x-2)(x²-7x+12)

=(x-2)(x²-3x-4x+12)

=(x-2) (x(x-3)-4(x-3)

=(x-2) (x-3) (x-4)

Thus the zero of the polynomial is -2,3,4..
