It should be z (or) x variable.

(i)

Given Equation is 4x^2 + 24x + 20

⇒ 4(x² + 6x + 5)

⇒ 4(x² + 5x + x + 5)

⇒ 4(x(x + 5) + (x + 5))

⇒ 4(x + 1)(x + 5)

(ii)

Given Equation is 4z² + 24z + 20

⇒ 4(z² + 6z + 5)

⇒ 4(z² + 5z + z + 5)

⇒ 4(z(z + 5) + (z + 5)

⇒ 4(z + 1)(z + 5).

Hope it helps!
