Given Equation is (a + 2b)^2 - a^2

⇒ a^2 + 4b^2 + 4ab - a^2

⇒ 4b^2 + 4ab

⇒ 4b(a + b).

Therefore, Factorization of (a + 2b)^2 - a^2 = 4b(a + b).

Hope this helps!

BabuDubu: can you please explain how 4ab came?
siddhartharao77: We know that (a + b)^2 = a^2 + 2ab + b^2.

Given:

(a + 2b)^2

= > (a)^2 + (2b)^2 + 2(a)(2b)

= > a^2 + 4b^2 + 4ab
