$x {}^{3} - 2x {}^{2} - x + 2 \\ x {}^{2} (x - 2) - 1(x - 2) \\ (x {}^{2} - 1)(x - 2) \\ \\ now... \\ x { }^{2} - 1 = 0 \\ x {}^{2} = 1 \\ x = \sqrt{1} \\ x = 1 \\ \\ and.. \\ x - 2 = 0 \\ x = 2$
