Let,

(x+2)=a

(2x+1)=b

Hence, given expression =a²−b²

=(a+b)(a−b) [Applying the formula]

=(x+2+2x+1){x+2−(2x+1)} [putting the values]

=(3x+3)(x+2–2x−1)

=(3x+3)(−x+1)

=3(x+1)(−x+1)
