Answer:

Here is your answer

(x+1)^2-4x

⇒you can see over there that (x+1)^2 is in the form of (a+b)^2\\

So now the formula is

(a+b)^2=a^2+2ab+b^2

appling that formula to (x+1)^2

(x+1)^2=x^2+2(x)(1)+(1)^2

so now bring it into final equation that is

(x)^2+2(x)(1)+(1)^2-4x

x^2+2x+1-4x

x^2+2x-4x+1

x^2-2x+1

So you have got a equation now,we have to separate

x^2-x-x+1

Now factorise

x(x-1)-1(x-1)

(x-1)(x-1) is the equation

x-1=0                   or              ⇒x-1=0

x=1                          or             ⇒x=1

So finally your answer is

x=1,1
