(x2 - 3x -4) (x2 -3x -18) +24 = 0
Now let x2 - 3x = t (where x2 is x-squared)
So the equation becomes:
(t-4)(t-18) + 24 = 0
t2 -22t + 72+24 = 0
t2-22t + 96 = 0
t2 - 16t -6t +95 = 0
(t-16) (t-6) = 0
t = 16,6
x2 - 3x = {16,6}
