x^2 - 14x + 48

= x^2 - 8x - 6x + 48

= x ( x - 8) -6 (x - 8)

= (x- 6) ( x- 8)

Answer : (x - 6) ( x-8)

Answer:

\large \text{$(x-6)(x-8)$}

Step-by-step explanation:

\large \text{we have to factorise $x^2-14x+48$}\\\\\\\large \text{By splitting mid term}\\\\\\\large \text{we have to make $(ac=+-b)$}\\\\\\\large \text{48=$8\times6$}\\\\\\\large \text{$p(x)=x^2-8x-6x+48$}\\\\\\\large \text{$p(x)=x(x-8)-6(x-8)$}\\\\\\\large \text{$p(x)=(x-6)(x-8)$}

\large \text{Zeroes of p(x)}\\\\\\\large \text{$x-6=0$}\\\\\\\large \text{$x=6$ or $x-8=0$}\\\\\\\large \text{$x=8$}\\\\\\\large \text{Thus we factorise p(x) and we two factors (x-6) and (x-8)}
