 {x}^{2}  - 4x + 5 \\  \\   {x}^{2}  - (2 + i)x - (2 - i)x + (2 + i)(2 - i) \\  \\   x(x - 2 - i) - (2 - i)(x - 2 - i) \\  \\ (x - 2) + i(x - 2 - i)

i =  \sqrt{ - 1}

(2 - i)(2 + i) \\  \\  = 2(2 + i) - i(2 + i) \\  \\ =  4 + 2i - 2i -  {i}^{2}  \\  \\ =  4 - ( - 1) \\  \\ =  4  + 1 \\  \\  = 5

hope it helps
