Factorising :-

+ 6x + 8 = 0

+ ( 4 + 2 )x + 8 = 0 [ 8 = 4 × 2 ]

+ 4x + 2x + 8 = 0

x ( x + 4 ) + 2 ( x + 4 ) = 0

( x + 4 ) ( x + 2 ) = 0

Now , as per identity [ ab = 0 then , a = 0 and b = 0 ]

or , ( x + 4 ) = 0. nor , ( x + 2 ) = 0

or , x = - 4. or , x = - 2

° The value of x is , x = - 4 and - 2.
