factorise x^2+7x+12 by splitting middle term

Answer:

x²+7x+12

x²+3x+4x+12

x(x+3)+4(x+3)

(x+4)(x+3)

Product = 12
Sum = 7

Therefore,
4*3 = 12
4+3 = 12

x^2 + 3x + 4x + 12
x( x+ 3) + 4(x+3)
(x+3)(x+4)
