Answer:

let P(x)=-1

p(-1) = -1^3 + 13(-1)^2 + 3(-1)+20

= -33+33

= 0

so, (x+1) is a factorvof p(x) by factor theoram

To find another factor me must divide p(x) by (x+1)

and the another factor found is x^3 + 12x 10

factorising (x^3+ 12 x+ 10)

x^2 + 10+ 2x + 20

x(x+10) + 2 ( x+ 10)

=(x+2) (x+10)

show polynomial p(x) would be factorise as (x+2) (x+10) (x+1)

Answer:

X³+13x²+32x+20

=(x+1)(x²+12x+20)   [∵, for x=-1, x³+13x²+32x+20=-1+13-32+20=0]

=(x+1)(x²+10x+2x+20)

=(x+1){x(x+10)+2(x+10)}

=(x+1){(x+10)(x+2)}

=(x+1)(x+2)(x+10)
