➡X³ - 3x² - 9x - 5 = 0

= x³ + x² - 4x² - 4x - 5x - 5 = 0

= x²( x + 1) - 4x ( x + 1) - 5(x + 1) = 0

= (x + 1) (x² - 4x - 5) = 0

= (x + 1) (x² -5x + x - 5) = 0

= (x + 1) (x - 5) (x + 1) = 0

hence, (x +1), (x -5) and (x +1) are the factors of given polynomial
