  \: \: \: \: {x}^{4} - {x}^{2} - 12 \\ = {x}^{4} - 4 {x}^{2} + 3 {x}^{2} - 12 \\ = {x}^{2}( {x}^{2} - 4) + 3( {x}^{2} - 4) \\ = ( {x}^{2} - 4)( {x}^{2} + 3) \\ = (x + 2)(x - 2)(x + \sqrt{3})(x - \sqrt{3}).

Hope this will help you.

Answer:

 {x}^{4} - {x}^{2} - 12 \\ {x}^{4} - 4 {x}^{2} + 3 {x}^{2} - 12 \\ {x}^{2} ( {x}^{2} - 4) + 3( {x}^{2} - 4) \\ ( {x}^{2} + 3)( {x }^{2} - 4)ans
