We know that (a+b)^2 = a^2 + b^2 + 2ab.

(x + 5)^2 - 4(x + 5)

x^2 + 25 + 10x - 4x - 20

x^2 + 6x + 5

(x + 5)(x + 1).

Hope this helps!
