Answer:

x(a-3)+y(3-a)

=x(a-3)+y(-1)(a-3)[If we multiply or divide any number by (-1) you will get its opposite, here 3-a/(-1)=-3+a=a-3 and 3-a(-1)/-1=3-a:So we didn't changed any number]

=x(a-3)-y(a-3)

=(a-3)(x-y)
