Solution:

Given x⁴-14x+1

= (x²)² - 2*x*7 + 7² - 7² + 1

= [ ()² -2*x*7 +7²] - 49+1

= (x-7)² - 48

= (x-7)² - (48)²

= (x-7+48)(x-7-√48)

/* -b² = (a+b)(a-b) */

= (x-7+43)(x-7-4√3)

Therefore,

x⁴-14x+1 = (x-7+43)(x-7-4√3)
