Given,
to factorise

x² + 2ax - b² - 2ab

by regrouping, we have,

x² - b² + 2ax - 2ab

in x² - b² , we will use the 3rd identity ie, a² - b² = (a - b)(a + b ) and in +2ax and -2ab , we will use the method of taking out common factor

so,

(x - b)(x + b)2a( x - b)

it can be seen that (x - b) is a common factor,

Therefore,(x-b)(x+b+2a)
