factorise x square - 4 x + 1​

Hey mate ,

x^2-4x+1

D = √ (b^2 - 4ac)

= √ ( 16-4)

= √12

= 2√3

Thus , by quadratic formula

x = -b +-√D / 2a

= +4+-2√3 /2

= 2[ 2 +-√3] /2

= 2+-√3

x = 2+√3 , 2-√3
