factorise x(x + y) - 6(x + y)^2

Answer:

x(x+y)-6(x+y)²

=x²+xy-6(x²+y²+2xy)

=x²+xy-6x²-6y²-12xy

=x²-6x²-6y²+xy-12xy

= -5x²-6y²-11xy

= -(5x²+6y²+11xy)
