SolutioN :

Let's Splitting the Middle Terms.

→ x² + 7x + 12.

→ x² + 4x + 3x + 12.

→ x( x + 4 ) + 3( x + 4 )

→ ( x + 3 )( x + 4 )

Either,

→ x + 3 = 0.

→ x = - 3.

Or,

→ x + 4 = 0.

→ x = - 4.

Therefore, the value of x is - 3 and - 4.

\rule{90}2

VerificatioN :

Let's,

  • Zeros be a and b.
  • a = - 3.
  • b = - 4.

Sum of Zeros

→ - b / a = a + b

→ - 7 / 1 = - 3 + ( - 4 )

→ - 7 = - 7.

Product Of Zeros.

→ c / a = a * b.

→ 12 / 1 = - 3 * - 4.

→ 12 = 12.

Hence Verify.
