we write x^2+Y-xy-x=(x^2-xy)+(y-x)=x(x-y)-1(x-y)=(x-1)(x-y)

we get factors as x-1 and x-y

rearrange it

= x² - xy - x + y

= x(x - y) - 1(x - y)

= (x - 1) (x - y) .
