Factorise
X³-2x²-x+2

Please state the identity used & with steps method explanation. (Don't give copy paste answer otherwise i wouldn't be asking) i just need to understand with proper steps explanation. Thanks

HEY MATE:

explanation for find factors:

steps:

1) we can check in any value of x equation is exist.

2) if value of x exit on equation, so now make factors in this way

3) if x=1 exist ,so make factors like this (x-1)

other wise (x+1)

NOW FIND FACTORS:

given equation

= x^3-2x^2-X+2

= X^3-x^2-x^2+x -2x+2

=x^2(x-1)-x (x-1)-2(x+1)

=(X^2-x-2)(x-1)

=(x-1)(x^2-2x+x-2)

=(x-1)(x+1)(x-2)
