x³ + 3x² + 3x - 7

 = x {}^{3} + 4x {}^{2} + 7x - 1x {}^{2} - 4x - 7 \\ = x(x {}^{2} + 4x + 7) - 1(x {}^{2} + 4x + 7) \\ = (x - 1)(x {}^{2} + 4x + 7) \\
