Factorise y^2-ky-2k^2​

Solution :

Now, y² - ky - 2k²

= y² + (1 - 2) ky - 2k²

= y² + ky - 2ky - 2k²

= y (y + k) - 2k (y + k)

= (y + k) (y - 2k) ,

which is the required factorization.
