Solution :

15a^5b - 6a⁴b²-9a³b³

= 3a³b( 5a² - 2ab - 3b² )

Splitting the middle term,we get

= 3a³b[ 5a² - 5ab + 3ab - 3b² ]

= 3a³b[ 5a(a-b)+3b(a-b)]

= 3a³b(a-b)(5a+3b)

KunalTheGreat: ma'am
KunalTheGreat: my book shows answer is 3A^3b(a-b)(5a+3b)
KunalTheGreat: can u recheck ur answer?
KunalTheGreat: I also had the same answer as yours had,
KnowMore: @mysticd it can be further factorized
mysticd: yes , you're right

Answer:

3 a³b ( a - b )( 5 a + 3 b )

Step-by-step explanation:

The given expression is :

15 a⁵b - 6 a⁴b² - 9 a³b³

Take ab as common :

⇒ ab ( 15 a⁴ - 6 a³b - 9 a²b² )

Still we can take 3 a² as common :

⇒ 3 a³b ( 5 a² - 2 ab - 3 b² )

Now we have to perform middle split factorisation .

Split - 2 ab into - 5 ab + 3 ab

⇒ 3 a³b ( 5 a² - 5 ab + 3 ab - 3 b² )

Take commons :

⇒ 3 a³b ( 5 a ( a - b ) + 3 b ( a - b ) )

⇒ 3 a³b ( a - b )( 5 a + 3 b )

Thus the required solution is :

3 a³b ( a - b )( 5 a + 3 b )
