Question

Factorization 2x^2 - 6x + 4

Answer

G I V E N :

  • 2X^2 - 6X + 4

T O F I N D :

  • Find its Factor

S O L U T I O N :

   {2x}^{2}  - 6x + 4

 =  > 2 {x}^{2}  - (2 + 4)x + 4

 =  > 2{x}^{2}  - 2x - 4x + 4

 =  > x(2x - 2) - 2(2x - 2)

  \bold{=  > (x - 2)(2x - 2)}

T H E R E F O R E :

  • The factor of the above equation is (x-2)(2x-2)

GiveN :-

  • 2x² - 6x + 4

To FinD :-

  • Factors of given polynomial

SolutioN :-

:\implies \sf {2x}^{2}  - 6x + 4

By splitting middle term :

:\implies \sf {2x}^{2}  - 4x - 2x + 4 \\  \\ :\implies \sf2x(x - 2) - 2(x - 2) \\  \\ :\implies  \underline { \boxed{\sf(2x - 2)(x - 2)}}
