Hey
2x² + 13x + 21
It is quadratic equation , and on putting the value of x , this equation must become 0
So ,
=> 2x² + 6x + 7x + 21 = 0
=> 2x ( x + 3 ) + 7 ( x + 3 ) = 0
=> ( x + 3 ) ( 2x + 7 ) = 0
Here , the concept used is that when we will multiply two numbers and the result will be 0 , then one of them must be 0 .
When ,
x + 3 = 0
=> x = ( - 3 )
and when ,
2x + 7 = 0
=> 2x = ( -7 )
=> x = ( -7 ) / 2
