The algebraic expression is given as : 8x³ + y³ + 12x²y + 6xy²

We can rewrite the  given expression as :

= (2x)³ + y³ + 3 × 2x × y(2x + y)

In order to factorise the given algebraic expression we use the following Identity - a³ + b³ + 3ab (a + b) = (a + b)³.

Here a = (2x) and b = (y) :

= (2x + y)³

= (2x + y)(2x + y)(2x + y)

Hence, the factorization of an algebraic expression is  (2x + y)(2x + y)(2x + y).
