Answer:

a) (x+y)² - (x-y)². @[a²-b²]

= x²+y²+2xy + x² + y² -2xy

= 2x² + 2y²

b) 2x³ + x² -4x

= x²(2x+1) -4x. or x(2x²+x-4)
