then we have to find such two no by addition or substraction from the available factors to make 23x.

so 8x+15x=23x

so, x^2-23x+120=0 can be written as:

x^2-8x-15x+120=0

x(x-8)-15(x-8)=0

so, (x-8)=0 & (x-15)=0

so x=8 & 15
