Factorize by splitting the middle term 9x2-3x-9

Answer:

9x² - 3x - 9

= 3x² - x - 3

This polynomial can't be factorised by the method of middle term splitting.....

Hence

we can factorise it using the quadratic formula....

b²±√(b²-4ac) / 2a

=1 ± √ ( 1 - ( -36) / 2

=1 ± √ 37 / 2

hence, this polynomial can be written as

{ x - ( 1+√37)/2} { x + ( 1 - √37)/2}

This is your required answer.....
