hola

take lcm 5 and 5 is 5

2x^2 - 5x - 3 / 5

2x^2 - 6x + x - 3/ 5

2x (x - 3 ) +1 ( x- 3) / 5

(x-3) (2x +1 ) /5

Question :-

Correct Question should be

 \frac{2}{5} x {}^{2} - x + \frac{3}{5} = 0

Solution :-

 \frac{2}{5} {x}^{2} - x + \frac{3}{5} = 0

Now multiply by 5 in every term

5 \times \frac{2}{5} {x}^{2} - 5x + 5 \times \frac{3}{5} = 5 \times 0 \\ \\ 2 {x}^{2} - 5x + 3 = 0

Now Factorise by splitting middle term

2 {x}^{2} - 2x - 3x + 3 = 0 \\ \\ 2x(x - 1) - 3(x - 1) = 0 \\ \\ (x - 1)(2x - 3) = 0

Now split it into possible cases

(x - 1) = 0 \\ \\ (2x - 3) = 0

Hence,

x_1 = 1 \\  \\ x_2 =(  \frac{3}{2} )

Extra information :-

  • A quadratic equation is an equation of the second degree, meaning it contains at least one term that is squared. The standard form is ax² + bx + c = 0 with a, b, and c being constants, or numerical coefficients, and x is an unknown variable.
