$= ( {x}^{2} + x)^{2} - 6( {x}^{2} + x) - 2( {x}^{2} + x) + 12$

$= ( {x}^{2} + x)( {x}^{2} + x - 6) - 2( {x}^{2} + x - 6)$

$= ( {x}^{2} + x - 2)( {x}^{2} + x - 6)$

$= ( {x}^{2} - x + 2x - 2)( {x}^{2} - 2x + 3x - 6)$

$(x(x - 1) + 2(x - 1))(x(x - 2) + 3(x - 2))$

$= (x + 2)(x -1)(x - 2)(x + 3)$
