All right, let's go step by step

1) 3x + 2xy

Taking x as common, we get:

x(3+2y)

2) a^3+7b^3

This has no common factors and can't be factorised furthur.

3)
x^5 + x^2

Taking x^{2} as common, we get:

x^{2}(x^{3} + 1)

Evaluate:

Now <span>989^{2}(100-11)^{2}

(a-b)^{2} = a^{2} + b^{2} - 2ab

Hence we get:
100^{2} + 11^{2} - 2(100)(11) = 978121

Similarly

88^2 = (100 - 12)^{2} = 100^2 + 12^2 - 2(100)(12) = 7744
