$( {x - 5})^{2} - (5x - 25) - 24 \\ \\ = ( {x}^{2} - 10x + 25) - 5x + 25 - 24$

$= {x}^{2} - 10x + 25 - 5x + 25 - 24 \\ \\ = {x}^{2} - 15x + 26$

$= {x}^{2} - 13x - 2x+ 26 \\ \\ = x(x - 13) - 2(x - 13)$

$= (x - 13)(x - 2)$
